You Spoke, We Listened
Thank you to everyone who shared questions, concerns, and feedback during the transition process. We know change can create uncertainty, especially for team members who care deeply about Moore Public Schools, their buildings, students, coworkers, and the long-term success of the department. Your feedback is helping us clarify expectations, improve communication, and focus on the areas that matter most to you.
What You Asked About
-
What you can expect
We understand how important school pride is and how much it means to students to see familiar faces supporting their campus. While our standard uniform helps maintain consistency, spirit wear will continue to be allowed on Fridays so team members can still represent their schools.
-
What you can expect
Our goal is to keep current schedules and hours as consistent as possible. There may be minor adjustments, but any changes will be communicated in advance. If you have a planned appointment, please let leadership know as soon as possible so they can work with you.
-
What you can expect
Thank you for sharing specific examples, such as moving wrestling and cheerleading mats, supporting events, and completing building-related work orders. In general, many responsibilities the team has been handling are expected to continue. We are reviewing workflows to ensure tasks are assigned efficiently and in alignment with company guidelines.
-
What you can expect
We are sorry you did not receive all the information you needed during your appointment. If you have additional questions, you can reach us through the text line at (405) 814-1616, and a team member will follow up with you.
-
What you can expect
You will continue to accrue leave at the same overall rate you had with the district, based on monthly accruals. For example, if you received 12 sick days per year, you will accrue 1 day per month, and if you received 24 vacation days per year, you will accrue 2 days per month. Vacation and other leave categories are intended to be used within the plan year, while sick time may be rolled over up to a defined maximum. There are no planned changes to your leave accrual rates, and they will be honored for the duration of the contract.
-
What you can expect
Questions about pay adjustments, including raises already in progress or certifications such as an electrical journeyman license, will be reviewed on an individual basis. Because survey feedback was anonymous, we encourage employees with individual pay questions to connect directly with onsite leadership.
-
What you can expect
We recognize that staffing shortages have been a challenge, and addressing that is a top priority. We have a dedicated recruitment team actively working to fill open roles. If you know someone who would be a good fit, please share our job postings. Employee referrals are always appreciated and can make a meaningful difference.
-
What you can expect
We know that concern is real, and we also know trust is built over time. Our focus is on strengthening communication, providing clear expectations and leadership support, improving staffing levels to reduce workload strain, and offering opportunities for growth and development. We are committed to earning trust through consistent actions, not just words.
Thank You
We appreciate the honesty in the feedback, including the concerns that were difficult to share. The care employees have for their schools, students, coworkers, and community came through clearly. We are committed to continuing the conversation and supporting the team through this transition.
